The executive board introduces itself

The executive board of the KKNMS is comprised of seven persons and was elected by the KKNMS members on September, 24th 2019.

Prof. Dr. Heinz Wiendl (spokesperson)

Prof. Dr. Wiendl is the director of the department of neurology at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Muenster. As spokesperson for the KKNMS he is the public representative for the competence network multiple sclerosis.

Prof. Dr. Bernhard Hemmer (deputy spokesperson)

Prof. Dr. Bernhard Hemmer is the head of the Neurological Clinic at the Clinic rechts der Isar of the Technical University of Munich. Within the executive board he is the deputy spokesperson.

Prof. Dr. Ralf Gold

Prof. Dr. Ralf Gold heads the Neurological Clinic of the Ruhr University of Bochum. Within the executive board he is the secretary.

Prof. Dr. Martin Kerschensteiner

Prof. Dr. Martin Kerschensteiner is Professor of Neuroscience and Clinical Neuroimmunology at the Ludwig Maximillians University Munich. As an assessor of the executive board he is responsible for research using experimental models.

Prof. Dr. Tania Kümpfel

Prof. Dr. Tania Kümpfel is a senior consultant in neurology at the Institute of Clinical Neuroimmunology at the Großhadern Clinic of the Ludwig Maximillians University Munich. Her responsibilities in the executive board are focussed on disorders related to neuromyelitis optica, and she is working to establish her own cohort in the project NationNMO.

Prof. Dr. Ralf Linker

Prof. Dr. Ralf Linker is director of the clinic for neurology of the University of Regensburg. As assessor of the executive board he is responsible for infrastructure within the KKNMS.

Prof. Dr. Frauke Zipp

Prof. Dr. Frauke Zipp is the head of the Neurological Clinic of the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz. In the executive board she holds the position of the treasurer.
