Infrastructure – an indispensable basis for research work

Successful research requires a functioning infrastructure. This is also true for the KKNMS. To this end, an IT infrastructure was established at the beginning of the first funding period which provides central administration of the data and samples gathered through a medical study database and a database for biosamples and MRI images. A central biobank for cellular and non-cellular biomaterial as well as for CNS tissue samples was also created.

Furthermore, MRI quality control as well as biostatistical support and data analysis belongs to the infrastructure available to all projects. The administrative office of the KKNMS is also part of the infrastructure – it provides support to all project partners for all administrative and operative tasks of the network.
